Marvin Raimund Schulz, postdoc

Nyansat

Marvin er ansat som postdoc fra 1. oktober 2025 i QA-sektionen, tilknyttet QMATH-centret.

Marvin Raimund Schulz

Marvin beskriver sig selv som “a researcher in mathematics with a strong focus on applications in physics”. Han uddyber:

”My work centers on the mathematical analysis of many-body quantum systems. This naturally connects to a broad range of mathematical fields, including functional analysis, spectral theory, the calculus of variations, partial differential equations, and many-body quantum mechanics.

”During my PhD at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Germany, under the supervision of Dirk Hundertmark and Semjon Vugalter, I studied the Ionization Conjecture for atomic systems, deriving new bounds on the maximal allowed excess charge. In parallel, I investigated the Efimov effect—its existence and absence in various configurations of constrained quantum particles.

“I am joining the QMATH Centre where my research naturally connects with the work of Søren Fournais and Jan Philip Solovej.

“I am particularly fascinated by counterintuitive phenomena in physics and the mathematical structures that underlie them.

“Outside of academia, I enjoy playing pen-and-paper role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons, Daggerheart, and Call of Cthulhu. I also play the saxophone and consider myself a relaxed, friendly nerd — in the best possible way”, siger Marvin.
