Brian Harvie, postdoc
“One of the goals of my research is to understand inverse mean curvature flow (IMCF), which is a rule for expanding surfaces in a Riemannian manifold over time according to their curvature. Another recent research project is the application of IMCF to mathematical problems in general relativity, with a focus on classifying black hole solutions to the Einstein field equations. This research project appears to have further connections to the famous ADS/CFT correspondence in physics, and this interplay represents a potential future direction for his research,” forklarer Brian.
