Jeong-Hoon Ju, postdoc

Jeong-Hoon beskriver sine forskningsinteresser således: “My research area is the algebra and geometry of tensors. I mainly research tensor rank and tensor computation. In particular, I am interested in methods for investigating tensor rank (e.g., flattenings, apolarity theory, and sparse optimisation), secant varieties (especially of Segre, Veronese, and Grassmannian varieties), and tensor operations (such as tensor-tensor multiplication and tensor geometric mean) and their complexity”.

Om sine fremtidige projekter siger han: “In QMATH, I'm going to learn and research tensors for quantum information theory, and algebraic/geometric complexity theory. My postdoc mentor is Matthias Christandl.”

Jeong-Hoon kommer fra Republikken Korea og har en ph.d. fra Institut for Matematik ved Pusan National University (vejledere: Prof. Yeongrak Kim og Prof. Hyun-Min Kim). Afhandlingens titel: "On the Ranks of the Determinant, Permanent, and Linear-Map-Based Tensor-Tensor Multiplication Tensors".

Han var studentermedlem af Global Basic Research Lab (BRL) om "Algebra and Geometry of Spaces of Tensors, and Applications" (AGSTA) – en forskningsgruppe, der støttes af National Research Foundation of Korea.
