N2 - In this thesis we show that the restriction map Rp(X) -> Rp(T)W is an isomorphism for all simply connected p-compact groups of rank at most 2. Here T is a maximal torus of X with Weyl group W, Rp(X) is the complex homotopy representation ring of X and Rp(T)W is the invariants under W of the representation ring of T.
