Workshop in honor of Kirchberg's 65th birthday

The University of Copenhagen

November 10 - 13, 2011

This workshop is in the honor of Eberhard Kirchberg, who turned 65 this year. The scope of the workshop is to present selected current trends in a bouquet of topics including classification of C*-algebras, operator space theory, non-commutative geometry, groups and operator algebras. We aim at a fairly light program allowing for time for discussions.

The workshop starts the morning of Thursday November 10 and ends around lunch time on Sunday November 13. There will be a banquet Saturday evening and a reception after the last talk on Thursday. Participants will be served lunch (on campus).

On November 14-18 the department hosts a Masterclass/PhD course on Nuclear dimension of C*-algebras organized by Leonel Robert and Hannes Thiel. People, for whom it is relevant, are encouraged to participate in both events.
