Zhongxia Shang, postdoc
Zhongxia Shang was employed on 1 February 2026 as a postdoc in the department’s Section for Analysis & Quantum.
Zhong-Xia Shang (or Zhongxia Shang) is from China. He got his BS and PhD from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2019 and 2024, respectively. His PhD advisor was Prof. Chao-Yang Lu. The thesis title is "Designing novel quantum algorithms".
Before Zhongxia joined UCPH, he was an HKIQST postdoctoral fellow at the University of Hong Kong, hosted by Prof. Wang Yao and Prof. Qi Zhao.
Zhongxia began his quantum journey on the experimental side of superconducting quantum computing, later shifting to the theoretical side. Zhongxia has a broad interest in quantum computing and quantum information, with a focus on designing quantum algorithms via open quantum systems and exploring quantum advantages. He will work with Daniel Stilck França at the Centre for the Mathematics of Quantum Theory (QMATH).
You can meet Zhongxia at Vibenshuset office V01-4-25.
