Sergey Avvakumov, postdoc

Sergey Avvakumov started at the Department of Mathematical Sciences 1 August 2020 as a postdoc associated with the section Algebra & Geometry.
Sergey received his PhD at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria in June 2020 under the supervision of Uli Wagner.
He got his Master's at the Independent University of Moscow, May 2014, with Arkadiy Skopenkov as supervisor.
His research focuses on geometric and algebraic topology and their interactions with combinatorics and discrete mathematics. He will be working with Professor Karim Adiprasito and the Copenhagen Centre for Geometry and Topology.
