Sebastian Wolf, postdoc
Sebastian has been employed since 1 November 2025 as a postdoc in the department’s section for Algebra & Geometry.
Before moving to Copenhagen, Sebastian completed his PhD at the University of Regensburg (Germany) under the supervision of Denis-Charles Cisinski. Sebastian also has his bachelor’s and master’s from Regensburg.
“Here in Copenhagen, I am part of the Centre for Geometry and Topology, where my postdoctoral mentors are Robert Burklund and Ryomei Iwasa,” says Sebastian.
“Broadly speaking, I am interested in higher category theory, homotopy theory and applications of these to (algebraic) geometry. So far, I have been mostly working on higher category theory internal to infinity topoi and condensed refinements of the étale homotopy type. More recently, I have also become increasingly interested in motivic homotopy theory and algebraic K-theory.”
