Marta Pavelka, postdoc
Marta Pavelka was employed on 1 August 2025 as a postdoc in the Analysis & Quantum Section.
Marta will be working in the QMATH Centre with Bergfinnur Durhuus as her mentor. Previously, she was a Postdoc in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University (USA), working with Florian Frick.
She obtained her PhD at the University of Miami (USA) in 2023, having worked with Bruno Benedetti, with a thesis called “On t-LC manifolds and Hamiltonian complexes”.
Marta is originally from the Czech Republic and loves to travel the world while conducting research in mathematics. Her research is focused on the interaction of Combinatorics with Geometry, especially triangulations of manifolds and, more generally, simplicial complexes.
You can find Marta in Vibenshuset, office V01-4-08.
