Luigi Pagano, PhD student

Newly employed

Luigi Pagano is employed as PhD student at the Department of Mathematical Sciences from 1 September 2018. He will be working with two research groups: Algebra and Number Theory plus Topology.

Luigi PaganoLuigi is mainly interested in algebraic geometry and will study under the supervision of Lars Halvard Halle. His PhD project concerns the dlt-zeta function attached to Hilbert schemes of points of a degenerating family of K3 surfaces.

Luigi studied Mathematics at University of Pisa and Scuola Normale Superiore, obtaining the Bachelor degree in July 2016 and the Master degree in July 2018, when he defended his thesis: “Bridgeland’s stability and its applications to the geometry of surfaces”. In 2018 he also obtained the Diploma of the Scuola Normale.
