Jingxuan Zhang, PhD student
Newly employed
Jingxuan is employed at the Department for Mathematical Sciences from 1 July 2020, where he will be associated with the Centre for Geometry and Topology (GeoTop).
Jingxuan completed his undergraduate in mathematics at University of Toronto, (BSc, 2019) and Part III of the Mathematical Tripos (MASt, 2020) at University of Cambridge (St Edmund’s College).
His research interest lies in nonlinear PDE and its applications to statistical physics. At GeoTop, he would like to investigate the geometric features of phase transitions, in hope of reaching a deep mathematical understanding of a large class of physical phenomena.
Niels Martin Møller will be Jingxuan’s supervisor.
