Jan Ole Hesse, PhD student

Jan Ole Hesse joined the Algebra & Geometry section on 1 September 2025. He will be working with the Centre for Geometry and Topology.
Jan graduated with both a Bachelor's and a Master's at the University of Munich (LMU), specialising in topology and algebra, mainly number theory.
For the PhD, he will delve into motivic homotopy theory with the preliminary plan to study motivic filtration(s) of motivic spectra associated to localising invariants. His supervisor is Ryomei Iwasa.
