Francesco Campagna, PhD student at ALG

Newly employed

Francesco Campagna started 1 September 2018 as a PhD student at the department. He will be working with the research group Algebra and Number Theory and the Center for Symmetry and Deformation, under the supervision of Fabien Pazuki.

Francesco CampagnaFrancesco’s main research interest is algebraic number theory and he will carry out a project concerning elliptic curves with complex multiplication and their singular moduli.

Francesco received his bachelor degree from Università degli studi di Padova. He took part in the ALGANT Erasmus Mundus programme for his master studies, spending the first year of master in Padova (Italy) and the second year in Leiden (The Netherlands). In July 2018 he defended his master thesis "Cyclic reduction of Elliptic Curves" in Regensburg (Germany), supervised by Prof. Dr Peter Stevenhagen.
