Emma Zambolin, PhD student
Emma joined the Statistics and Probability Theory Section on the 15th of September 2025, as a PhD student under the supervision of Line Clemmensen.
Emma is Italian, from Padova, where she did all her studies. She was previously working in Barcelona, Spain. She has a master’s degree in mathematical engineering (applied mathematics) and work experience in the data science world.
Emma’s research interests lie at the intersection of statistics and machine learning and their applications.
“At UCPH I joined a grand solution project called “Personalities and Behaviours in AI for Mental Health”, together with DTU, University Hospital Zurich, the Danish Psychiatry, The Alexandra Institute and several startups.
“As part of my research project, I’ll be working on developing statistical and machine learning models for multimodal behavioural analysis – with the aim of using such tools to support innovation in preventive mental health and early diagnosis”, says Emma.
