Emma Kroell, postdoc
Newly employed
Emma started on 1 September 2025 as a postdoc researcher in the department’s section for Insurance and Economics.
Emma is Canadian and received her PhD from the University of Toronto under the supervision of Silvana Pesenti and Sebastian Jaimungal. Her thesis was on model ambiguity in non-life insurance.
“I’m excited to start my postdoc at the University of Copenhagen in the Insurance and Economics section. I plan to continue working on stochastic control problems in insurance and explore related areas during my time here.
“In my free time, I enjoy running and indoor spin classes. I am looking forward to bicycling around the city!” says Emma.
