Emil Aagaard Clausen, PhD student
Newly employed
Emil was hired on 1 January 2026 as a PhD student in the Analysis & Quantum section.
"I studied my bachelor's degree in physics, my bachelor's degree in mathematics and my master's degree in physics here at the University of Copenhagen," says Emil.
"After working in shipping as a software developer for just over a year, I am now back at MATH as a PhD student at QMATH (Centre for the Mathematics of Quantum Theory) under the supervision of Jan Philip Solovej."
"My research interests are in mathematical physics. More specifically, I want to study the mathematical structure of atoms and the periodic table," says Emil, adding:
"I am Danish, love programming and running."
