Emanuel Reinecke, Tenure Track Assistant Professor
Emanuel Reinecke was employed as a Tenure Track Assistant Professor from 1 September 2025, associated with the department’s section for Algebra & Geometry.
Emanuel has a PhD from the University of Michigan (USA), 2020. His dissertation was called “Moduli of Curves at Infinite Level”. After that, he was associated with the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton (USA).
Emanuel Reinecke specialises in arithmetic and algebraic geometry, with a focus on p-adic geometry. His research has covered moduli spaces and invariants arising from p-adic Hodge theory and homotopical methods.
"I am very excited to join the fantastic mathematics community at the University of Copenhagen and am looking forward to many interesting interactions with my new colleagues and students," says Emanuel.
Head of Department Mogens Steffensen states: "We are very pleased to welcome Emanuel Reinecke to Copenhagen. His strong research profile in arithmetic and algebraic geometry, combined with his international experience and academic engagement, will greatly enrich the department's activities in both research and teaching."
