Elden Elmanto, postdoc

Newly employed

Elden Elmanto starts at the University of Copenhagen on 15 July 2018. He will be working with the research groups Algebra and Number Theory and Topology – and the Centre for Symmetry and Deformation.

Elden ElmantoHe took his BS at University of Chicago in 2013 (with honors) and continued his studies at Northwestern University, where he completed his PhD (Best Thesis Award) at the end of spring 2018 under the supervision of John Francis.

Elden’s postdoc mentor is Lars Hesselholt.

Elden's research interests are in algebraic geometry, and its interactions with homotopy theory. In his work, this occurs mainly through Morel-Voevodsky's motivic homotopy theory, the theory of motives, and algebraic K-theory.
