Christopher Hone, postdoc
Christopher started on 1 November 2025 as a postdoc at the department’s Copenhagen Centre for Geometry and Topology under the mentorship of Jesper Grodal.
“I am an Australian representation theorist. Earlier this year, I received my PhD from the University of Sydney under the supervision of Geordie Williamson, with the title "Geometric extensions and the six functor formalism", says Chris.
“I have broad algebraic interests, oriented towards representation theory, algebraic geometry and algebraic topology. My research focuses on using tools from geometry, like the six functor formalism, highest weight categories, and convolution algebras to attack representation theoretic problems”.
Besides math, Chris loves to get outside into nature, climbing, foraging, hiking, etc.
