Chenglong Ma was employed as a PhD student in the section for Analysis & Geometry and associated with the Copenhagen Centre for Geometry and Topology as of 1 October 2025.

Chenglong Ma

Chenglong is from China and holds a bachelor’s degree from Peking University, where he specialised in number theory. His previous research focused on p-adic Hodge theory, with an emphasis on perfectoid techniques.

“For my PhD, I plan to explore the interface between homotopy theory and arithmetic geometry. I intend to follow Devalapurkar’s spectral version of the geometric Langlands program as an initial guide for my studies under the supervision of Professors Lars Hesselholt and Emanuel Reinecke.

“I am very excited to join the mathematical community in Copenhagen”, says Chenglong.
