Arthur Samuel Morris, postdoc
Arthur was employed on 1 October 2025 at the department’s section for Analysis & Quantum, affiliated with the Centre for the Mathematics of Quantum Theory (QMATH).
Arthur completed an undergraduate degree in physics and a master's degree in mathematical and theoretical physics at the University of Oxford. He then moved to the Theory of Condensed Matter group at the University of Cambridge for his PhD, where he was supervised by Robert-Jan Slager. His thesis was entitled 'Physical implications of multi-band Euler topology'.
Arthur is now broadly interested in quantum error correction, particularly in (good) qLDPC codes and the physical properties of quantum codes based on generalised expander graphs. At the QMATH Centre, he will work with Daniel Malz.
You can meet Arthur at Vibenshuset, office V01-4-13.
