Anton Rask Lundborg, tenure-track assistant professor
Anton Rask Lundborg was employed in October 2025 as a tenure-track assistant professor at the Department of Mathematical Sciences, University of Copenhagen.
Anton has an MSc from this department and finished his PhD at the University of Cambridge in 2023 under the supervision of Rajen Shah & Richard Samworth. Anton has been a postdoc at the Department since 2022 as part of the Copenhagen Causality Lab, where he will stay on as a tenure-track assistant professor.
Anton's research focuses on semiparametric and nonparametric methods in statistics. He has worked extensively on conditional association measures and tests with applications to causal inference and the analysis of complex data structures. This work includes probing the theoretical limitations of testing for the presence of conditional association, developing practical methods for estimating such associations, and investigating the practical applicability of semi-parametric procedures.
Anton has published papers in top statistical journals such as Annals of Statistics, Journal of the Royal Statistical Society: Series B and Journal of the American Statistical Association.
