MATH professor mathematical director of AP Pension

Thomas Møller, adjunct professor at the Department of Mathematical Sciences, has been appointed as Chief Mathematical Officer (CMO) and member of the board of AP Pension, Denmark's fourth largest commercial pension company.

Thomas Møller- The Department of Mathematical Sciences has always had close cooperation with Thomas Møller, who has, among other things, taught courses at the department and has co-supervised business PhD students. We hope and expect that the close relationship will continue when Thomas Møller joins his new position, enabling us to expand our cooperation with AP Pension, says head of department Michael Sørensen.

Thomas is coming from a position as long-standing director of the PFA area 'Aktuariat - Innovation and Models'. He holds both a master's degree and a PhD in insurance mathematics and has since 2013 been a professor of insurance mathematics at the University of Copenhagen.

At AP Pension, Thomas Møller has overall responsibility for the areas of Customer Service, Risk Management and Actuaries. CEO, Bo Normann Rasmussen, looks forward to drawing on Thomas's strong academic and practical insight:

Handling it calls for special skills, and it's exactly here that Thomas comes into the picture.
