Professor Susanne Ditlevsen

The 278 years old academy works to strengthen the position of science in Denmark and to promote interdisciplinary understanding. It serves as a collaborative body and meeting place for prominent researchers from all areas of basic scientific research from across the country.

"It is a great honour to be elected," says Susanne, who hopes she can contribute to the academy's important work in bringing interdisciplinary angles to society's major challenges, such as the climate crisis or the corona epidemic. She will also support the large dissemination work, where everyone will have the opportunity to become acquainted with basic research.
