What is... mean curvature flow?

Felix Lubbe will explain what mean curvature flow in higher codimension is.

Abstract: I will motivate and introduce the mean curvature flow of submanifolds inside Riemannian manifolds. Then I will go over some ideas and inspirations for methods used in understanding the flow. Finally I will provide an application in the higher codimensional setting.
