Reading group the Bergström--Diaconu--Petersen--Westerland

Each talk is 45 minutes by default, but the duration may vary, as various mathematical discussions will also naturally occur.

Talks:

1. Overview of the paper [1] with some details. Speaker: Fabien Pazuki.

2. Traces of Frobenius, zeta functions, L-functions, moments. General presentation. Speaker: Jasmin Matz.

3. Braid groups, partitions, Schur functions. Speaker: Tim With Berland.

4. Hyperelliptic curves of genus g, their moduli spaces, general presentation, with an eye on what the paper [1] is considering. Speaker: Qingyuan Bai.

5. Homological stability with twisted coefficients via Randal-Williams--Wahl [2]. The homological stability results that are shown using general machinery are easy to learn and apply, also for non-specialists. Speaker: Nathalie Wahl.

6. Calculation of the stable twisted homology via the techniques in [3]. Speaker: Oscar Bendix Harr.
