Title: Semiclassical Canovaccio for Quantum Field Theory

Abstract:  Quantum field theory provides the common language for particle physics, critical phenomena, gravity, and many areas of modern mathematics, yet much of its strongly interacting regime remains analytically difficult to access. In this talk, I will describe a semiclassical canovaccio for QFT: a framework in which suitable classical configurations provide the skeleton for extracting nonperturbative information and predicting infinite-order perturbative structures.

I will focus on conformal field theories and on the spectrum of composite operators, with particular emphasis on the Ising conformal field theory. I will explain how the state-operator correspondence maps the problem to classical motion on the cylinder, where semiclassical quantization gives analytic control over scaling dimensions beyond ordinary perturbation theory. I will also indicate how these questions connect to the algebraic organization of quantum observables and to broader structural approaches to QFT.
