Title: Generalized Pauli constraints in large systems: the Pauli principle
dominates

Abstract: Lately, there has been a renewed interest in consequences of fermionic
antisymmetry beyond the Pauli principle. Such consequences are usually
investigated by studying the polytope of allowed (ordered) eigenvalues of
fermionic 1-body reduced density matrices.

We prove that this polytope's volume rapidly approaches the volume
predicted by the original Pauli principle as the dimension of the 1-body
space grows, and that additional corrections, caused by `generalized'
Pauli constraints, are of much lower order unless the number of fermions
is small. This suggests the new constraints are chiefly a low-particle
number, low-dimension effect, and that applications to many-body systems
are unlikely unless the relevant physics has few-body character.
