Seminar in applied mathematics and statistics

SPEAKER: Steven Gabriel (Maryland)

TITLE: An Improved Strategic Decision-Making Model for Energy  Conservation Measures Using Bilevel Optimization.

Abstract: In this talk, we present a brief overview of one- and two-level optimization/equilibrium problems.  We then apply two-level optimization modeling to the case of energy conservation goals that must be met by a government agency. We highlight the advantages of such an approach over existing methods.

Tea and chocolate will be served in room 04.4.19 after the seminar.
