Title: Topological Jacobi Forms
Abstract: Topological modular forms (TMF) are a ring spectrum closely related to the ring of modular forms, which are certain nice functions of one variable. These allow for a generalization to several variables, called Jacobi forms. In this talk, I will present a theory of topological Jacobi forms (TJF). Like the Witten genus was a historic starting point for TMF, the two-variable elliptic genus plays a similar role for TJF.
This is based on joint work with Bauer, and I will also talk about related work of Lin—Yamashita.
Note: There will be a pretalk at 15:00 in Aud 3, and the main talk will start at 15:30.
