Title: Linking numbers and non-holomorphic Siegel modular forms.

Abstract: A compelling selling point for the theory of classical modular forms is the frequent connections between their Fourier coefficients and other areas of mathematics. For example, classical theta functions are closely tied to the representation numbers of positive definite quadratic forms. Many more exotic examples of both holomorphic and non-holomorphic modular forms arise from indefinite quadratic forms and are related to topology and geometry. In this talk, I will discuss new results that produce non-holomorphic Siegel modular forms of genus 2 related to arithmetic hyperbolic 3-manifolds.
