Title: Distributions fixed by a spherical subgroup of a reductive group

Abstract: 
In harmonic analysis on a homogeneous space G/H a crucial role
is played by distributions on the group G that are fixed by the subgroup H.
In this talk I will report on joint work with Eitan Sayag on such
distributions  that are of relevance for the Plancherel decomposition 
of L^2(G/H) for a real spherical homogeneous space G/H.
