Title: Applications of Morse and Floer theory with differential graded coefficients
Abstract: Morse theory on a manifold M can be used to provide a semi-free resolution of geometric origin for the trivial C_*(\Omega M)-module. As a consequence, it can be used to compute homology of fibrations from geometric data on M and algebraic data on the fiber. This mixture of geometry and algebra allows a generalization to Floer theory, with applications to the existence of periodic orbits for Hamiltonian systems. The talk will be based on joint work with Jean-François Barraud, Mihai Damian and Vincent Humilière.
