Workshop: Secondary and delocalized index invariants

11-15 June 2018.
University of Copenhagen, Department of Mathematical Sciences

The focus of the meeting will be applications of the analytic surgery group to geometry and topology, and in particular on delocalized invariants such as relative eta invariants and their higher analogues.

Speakers include:

  • Vadim Alekseev (Technische Universität Dresden)
  • Paolo Antonini (SISSA Trieste)
  • Sara Azzali (Universität Potsdam)
  • Moulay Benameur (Université de Montpellier)
  • Ulrich Bunke (Universität Regensburg)

  • Guoliang Yu (Texas A&M, TBC)
  • Rudi Zeidler (Universität Münster)
  • Vito Zenobi (Université de Montpellier)

Venue:

The lectures will be held at the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen. You can find information for short term visitors including directions to the mathematics department here.

Registration:

Registration online before 1 May 2018.

Schedule and abstracts:

The workshop takes place from Monday 11 June 2018 at 9:00 until Friday 15 June at 17:00. A detailed schedule and abstracts will appear closer to the workshop.

Accommodation:

We recommend Hotel de 9 Små Hjem, which is pleasant and inexpensive and offers room with a kitchen. Other inexpensive alternatives are CabInn that has several locations in Copenhagen: the Hotel City (close to Tivoli), Hotel Scandivania (Frederiksberg, close to the lakes), and Hotel Express (Frederiksberg) are the most convenient locations; the latter two are 2.5-3 km from the math department.

Somewhat more expensive - and still recommended - options are Hotel Nora (15 min walk) and Ibsen's Hotel (25 min walk or 7 min busride). There are also many AirBnB offers close by!

Organizers: Robin Deeley, Ryszard Nest, Thomas Schick and Magnus Goffeng

Funding:

The workshop is funded by Centre for Symmetry and Deformation, and Swedish Research Council Grant 2015-00137 and Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions, Cofund, Project INCA 600398
