Laura Helene Rasmussen, postdoc
Laura Helene Rasmussen began as a postdoc at the Data Science Lab and the Statistics and Probability Theory section on the 15th of December 2023.
Laura holds a Danish Data Science Academy postdoc fellowship. Her project is called “When Winter is Weird: Quantifying the Change in Winters across the Arctic”. Read more about her project.
Laura comes with a long experience working with ecosystem climate monitoring in Greenland and a PhD in Geoscience from the University of Copenhagen, where she has studied Arctic ecosystems in Greenland, Svalbard and Northern Scandinavia under climate change, with a special focus on Arctic winters.
Laura will be working with Bo Markussen and Susanne Ditlevsen, using long-term in situ measured climate data from across the Arctic to understand the variability patterns in winter climate in various Arctic regions.
