Huaitao Gui, PhD student
Newly employed
Huaitao Gui will be employed as a PhD student starting 1 November 2023, in the Analysis & Quantum section.
Huaitao’s research interests primarily revolve around geometric group theory. In his PhD project, he will be focusing on spaces with non-positive curvature and their applications in understanding groups. His supervisor will be Damian Osajda.
Huaitao obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Zhejiang University, China, and his Master’s degree from ETH Zurich, Switzerland. He completed his master’s thesis under the supervision of Matthew Cordes, with the topic centred on the Helly property of right-angled Artin groups.
