Title: Diffeomorphisms of disks

Abstract: Disks are arguably the most basic manifolds. I will explain what is known about their diffeomorphisms groups in dimension at least 5, and discuss recent progress in understanding their rational homotopy groups. In particular, I will explain why these are degreewise finitely-generated when n is not 4, 5 or 7.
