The overall focus of this thesis is the theoretical study, the statistical analysis and implementation of modelstargeted to genetics data. I will analyze two methods implemented for Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data,where the issues related to such data are tackled in different ways, and illustrate a background theory for graphsused to relate populations
