Maj-Britt Nordfang - PhD student

PhD student

Maj-Britt Nordfang has been employed as a PhD student at the Department of Mathematical Sciences since July 2013. She is part of the research group Insurance and Economics and is associated with the HIPERFIT project.

Maj-Britt NordfangHer research takes an outset in formalized financial decision problems of individual households (e.g. optimal investment/consumption) with a particular interest in the applied assumptions of preferences and rationality and their relation to time (in)consistency.

Building on a foundation of stochastic control theory, she aims to work towards a bridging with operations research, hereby broadening the class of optimization problems studied and increasing focus on practical application.

Maj-Britt finished her master’s in the spring of 2011 and is returning to the university from a position as an actuary in Danica Pension.

Maj-Britt sits in office 04.3.20
