Rubén Martos, postdoc at SYM
Rubén Martos is hired as a postdoc at the Department of Mathematical Sciences of the University of Copenhagen from 1st October 2018 within the Centre for Symmetry and Deformation. He is part of the research group “Non-Commutative Geometry” and his post-doc mentor is Ryszard Nest.
Previously, Rubén was in Université Paris Diderot (Paris 7) where he completed his master degree and received his PhD under the direction of Pierre Fima.
Rubén’s research interests are non-commutative geometry and operator algebras. Specifically, he has been studying the interplay between quantum groups and K-theory in the context of the Baum-Connes conjecture. He intends to carry on his previous research as well as to extend his activities to other subjects in the domain.
