Mehdi Jabbari Nooghabi, research assistant
Newly employed
Mehdi Jabbari Nooghabi is employed as a research assistant, from February until July 2023. He will work with the Insurance and Economics Section as well as the section for Statistics and Probability Theory.
Mehdi has an MSc degree from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran. He completed his PhD in 2011 at the University of Mumbai, India, under the supervision of Professor U.J. Dixit.
Mehdi's work areas are Outliers and Robustness, Actuary, Statistical Quality Control, Data Science, Statistical Computation, Finance Mathematics, and Econometrics. He explains:
"In the last 15 years, I have worked with:
- Estimation of the presence of outliers in many distributions.
- Detecting outliers in various distributions and in different situations.
- Research in Statistical Quality Control, Process Capability Indices with outliers as well as by using robust approaches.
- Developed many applications for univariate and multivariate Statistical Analysis and model fitting.
- Made different robots to trade in Cryptocurrency as well as in the Stock exchange."
