Lukas Schimmer, postdoc at QMATH
Lukas joined the department on 1 September 2017 as a postdoc in the group of Prof Jan Philip Solovej at the Villum Centre of Excellence for the Mathematics of Quantum Theory (QMATH).
Lukas completed his PhD in Pure Mathematics at Imperial College London in February 2015 under the supervision of Prof Ari Laptev. He subsequently worked in postdoctoral roles at Princeton University and at the California Institute of Technology under the mentorship of Prof Elliott Lieb and Prof Rupert Frank.
His research generally focuses on problems in Analysis and Spectral Theory which originate from Mathematical Physics. He is particularly interested in spectral inequalities for discrete and continuous differential operators.
Lukas works in office 04.3.04 until 1 November, then you can find him in 04.2.11
