Farbod Shokrieh, postdoc at SYM

Farbod Shokrieh started at the department on 1 September 2018. He will be part of the Centre for Symmetry and Deformations as well as a member of the Algebra and Number Theory group.
Previously, Farbod was an H.C. Wang Assistant Professor at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York. He received his PhD at Georgia Tech under the direction of Matt Baker.
Farbod's research is in non-Archimedean and tropical geometry, algebraic geometry, combinatorics, and number theory.
