Christoph Hirche, postdoc at QMATH
Christoph Hirche started June 1st 2019 as a postdoc at the University of Copenhagen. He will be working at the Centre for the Mathematics of Quantum Theory (QMATH).
Christoph completed his PhD in 2018 at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. His thesis is called "From asymptotic hypothesis testing to entropy inequalities" and he worked under the supervision of John Calsamiglia.
Before that, Christoph studied physics and obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degree from the University of Hannover in 2013 and 2015, respectively.
Christoph's research is mainly on the use of entropic quantities in quantum information theory. More specifically, he is interested in properties of quantum entropies and their applications to hypothesis testing, Shannon theory and machine learning.
Christoph sits in office 04.2.09.
