Niko Laaksonen, visiting postdoc

Niko LaaksonenNiko Laaksonen is a postdoctoral visitor of Morten Risager and is funded by the London Mathematical Society 150th Anniversary Postdoctoral Mobility Grant. He will be staying at MATH between 28th September 2015 and 27th January 2016.

Until now, Niko has studied at UCL in London for both his Master's and PhD under the supervision of Yiannis Petridis.

Niko's current research focuses on the spectral theory of automorphic forms in two and three dimensional hyperbolic space with emphasis on hyperbolic lattice point problems. On top of this, the classical analytic theory of the Riemann zeta function and Dirichlet L-functions and their value distribution are close to his heart.

Niko's office is 04.2.08
