Tenure track Assistant Professor of Mathematics


The department invites applications for a Tenure-track Assistant Professor position of Mathematics. The position is open from 1 May 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Applications in all areas of mathematical research are welcome. We are particularly interested in candidates whose research programme is in geometry, broadly defined, as well as in probabilistic methods in mathematics. Other areas of interest include but are not limited to, algebra, analysis, number theory, or mathematical physics.

The tenure-track assistant professor’s duties will primarily include research, including obligations with regard to publication/scientific communication and research-based teaching with associated examination obligations within mathematics. To a limited extent, the position may also include other duties.

The tenure-track assistant professor must have an academic standing showing internationally competitive research, have an internationally recognized potential for outstanding research achievements, and have strong teaching credentials.
