Jonas B. Rasmussen

I am currently a postdoc at the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen (this employment will continue until the end of January). I just completed my PhD studies under the academic advisement of Ian Kiming.

News

I defended my PhD thesis on Friday November 20th 2009 at 13:15 in Auditourim 4. The assessment commitee consisted of the following people:

Research

My main field of research is (computational) algebraic number theory, specifically modular forms and Galois representations, and in particular higher congruences of these.

On maximal congruences between newforms. In preparation.
A detailed look at the complexity of computing cusp forms via Hecke action on cohomology. 2009. Submitted.
On congruences mod ${\mathfrak p}^m$ between eigenforms and their attached Galois representaions (with I. Chen and I. Kiming). 2008. Submitted.
