- Visa: Denmark is part of the European SHENGEN passport union.
Americans and Europeans from the Shengen countries do not need
visa. Others will have to check themselves.
- Currency: The Danish Crown [Kroner] is used. Currency exchange is
possible in the airport and in exchangeoffices in the center of the
city. Within business hours also banks offer currency exchange.
Credit cards can be used in most places.
- Electrical power: 220 Volts, 60 Hz is standard. The male
plug has two round rods with centers 19 mm apart. Each rod has a
diameter of at most 5 mm. Ground connection (when available) is
obtained from a third rod sitting in the third corner of a triangle
which is almost (we are missing a couple of millimeters) equilateral (if
possible avoid the ground connector, since the corresponding "hole" in the
female plugs is often NOT there).
There are also special plugs for computer equipment, distinguished by
having rectangular rods instead of round ones. The female plugs, you are
unlikely to meet. If you are equipped with a male one, it fits well in
the standard plugs (apart from the mentioned problems with the ground connector).
