I am a postdoc at the University of Copenhagen, working in the Centre for Symmetry and Deformation. I received my B.A. from the University of Chicago in June 2005 and my Ph.D. in June, 2010 from MIT under the guidance of Professor Haynes Miller.

I work in the intersection of algebraic topology and finite group theory, studying fusion systems and their classifying spaces. My graduate thesis, "Fusion Action systems," describes group actions from a fusion- and p-local finite group-theoretic perspective; I hope to continue in this vein by exploring the representation theory of fusion system and their connections with modular representation theory.

Teaching

I am currently an instructor for Categories and Topology, taught by Bob Oliver.

Exercises for the problem sessions:
Week 1
Week 2
Week 3
Week 4
Week 5
Week 6 Note: There is an error in Exercise 4: The question should reference the first cohomology of G, not the second.
Week 7
Week 8
Week 9

Take-home exercises:
Set 1 due 9.12.10
Set 2 due 20.1.11

Past courses

During Block 1 of Autumn, 2010 I was an instructor for Algebra 3. I gave a two week introduction to basic module theory, using these notes.

Seminars

I am coorganizing, with Ellen Henke, a reading course on fusion and block theory. More information can be found here.
