ST&A seminar

Set Theory and Applications seminar

The Set Theory and Applications seminar will focus on descriptive set theory and applications of set theory to problems in ergodic theory, functional analysis and operator algebras. Occasionally there may be talks in other areas of (mathematical) logic, in particular in pure set theory.

The seminar is organized by Asger Törnquist (asgert a-with-a-circle-around-it math.ku.dk). It runs every Thursday, 14:15-15:40, in Auditorium 5, during the semester, except if some other event is taking place in the department, or if too many people are out of town.

If Asger is out of town, the other participants may organize a talk only if the topic of the talk doesn't interest Asger, or if the talk is going to be really bad.

Upcoming talks

  1. Dec. 6, 2012: Andreas Hallbaeck: "The Banach-Tarski paradox using sets with the Baire Property".

  2. Dec. 13, 2012: No seminar?
